Christmas is a celebration of pomp and joy. The jingle of the bells is the sign of Christmas approaching, in all its exuberance and glory. When Santa Claus descends on earth, the dark blue night sky lights up with twinkling yellow lights, and dotted with light bulbs along the firmament. Primarily celebrated by the Christians, Christmas has now become a global festival. Individuals belonging to both the religions, Hinduism and Islam, or even Buddhists and Jains. The golden bells ring with celebration, as the nights fall, the smell of turkey in the air and cooked delicacies fills up the air.
The spirit of giving and sharing gets enhanced further on the eve of Christmas, as people share food, sumptuous plum cakes and gifts. However, a certain section of the society is deprived of all the happiness and joy, instead of their evenings being spent in the warm yellow light of the fire burning in radiance at the fireplace in all glory, while some spend time while clad in ragged clothes and a cold home, perhaps the streets at times too. The real light lies in helping others and caring for others with one’s entire heart. Kindness is the real light .
