Independent artist Misshty is steadily making her mark in the music industry with her unique voice, original compositions, and passion for creating meaningful music. An English pop singer, lyricist, and composer, Misshty has built her journey through hard work, creativity, and a strong connection with her audience.
Misshty started her musical journey by performing English and Korean cover songs. Her performances helped her reach audiences from different backgrounds and opened opportunities to showcase her talent on international platforms. One of the major highlights of her career came when she was selected by the American platform SESSION LIVE, where she performed in a live concert broadcast across 152 countries.
Her achievements also include securing second position twice in national-level music competitions. In 2024, she received the Twin City ICON title and was later honoured with the Rashtriya Pratibha Samman Award for Best Singer.
Apart from singing, Misshty is trained in Kathak dance and synthesizer and holds a Visharad degree in Fine Arts. She has also worked with producers from Bhilai, Durg, Mumbai, and the Netherlands, bringing different musical influences into her work.
Misshty has released several original songs, including “Every Where,” “By My Side,” “Enchanted,” “Frozen,” and “Say My Name.” Among these, Frozen carries a particularly important message about the mental health of today’s youth.
According to Misshty’s concept behind the song, Frozen represents a state where young people feel that their thoughts and emotions are not being heard or understood. When the youth feel unable to express themselves or find someone willing to listen, they may reach a point where their mind feels emotionally “frozen.” Through the song, Misshty gives voice to these feelings and highlights the importance of listening to and understanding the younger generation.
Her upcoming song “Youniverse” is another important project in her musical journey. Created in collaboration with Netherlands-based producer Vivaro, the song explores ideas of destiny, connection, love, and unity. Penned, composed, and sung by Misshty, and produced and mastered by Vivaro, Youniverse tells the story of two people from different parts of the world whose paths meet through what feels like a mysterious connection written by the universe.
The song also carries a message that human connection can rise above borders, religion, caste, and other differences. It celebrates the idea of finding one’s person, one’s people, and one’s purpose.
Misshty’s work has now received another significant recognition. Her songs “Frozen” and “Youniverse” have been nominated in the Video Song category at the 3rd Imagination Films International Festival 2026, organised by Imagination Films in Bhilai, Chhattisgarh, India.
According to the festival’s official selection announcement, the event received 331 submissions from 51 countries, making the selection an important achievement for the participating artists. The festival is scheduled to take place on 16 August 2026 at Hotel Central Park, Bhilai.
For Misshty, this international festival recognition is another step forward in her journey as an independent artist. From performing covers to creating her own original music and reaching audiences beyond India, she continues to build her own musical identity.
With Frozen giving voice to the emotional struggles of young people and Youniverse celebrating connections that cross boundaries, Misshty’s music is becoming more than entertainment—it is a way of expressing emotions, ideas, and stories that connect people.
As she continues her musical journey, her growing recognition shows the possibilities for independent artists who remain committed to their creativity and their own voice.
