Another date to celebrate
Being free from colonial reign,
Another year to remember
Those sacrifices and pain.
Many names are celebrated but
Forgotten are countless ones,
May our homage never diminish
To Those Daughters and Sons.
What Aura our National Flag
Has! When we think or see-
A constant reminder to us all
That Freedom is a Responsibility.
Saffron-White-Green-Navy Blue
Are so visible to everyone’s eye;
It also has Those Martyrs’ blood
Which keeps our Flag and spirits high.
May we keep bettering on
Through every odd and even,
And respect our nation’s journey
Since Nineteen Forty Seven.
Every Fifteenth of August is
An eternal message to us all,
No matter what the problem be
We’ll fight it, excel and stand tall.
