The elders who have seen the world through a different lens; the elders who have guided us along; and those elderly folks who know they have so much more to offer!
They have their medicines to take, because their bodies have taken a toll; from the fresh air of simplicity to the air of growth, which has pollutants of many kinds.
The world looks at them differently; so do their kin; yet what we must do is remember their contributions and support their endeavours along the way.
If they need medical assistance, work to help them find the right institution; if they need care and concern, try to bring them into a group of people who can feed off their wisdom and support; and if they need support for the final path to salvation, be sure to make it righteous.
What the elders need is a calm and helping hand; what the elders would love is your company and smiles when you live and care for them. What the elders would admire is your tenacity and triumph towards creating a better world for them.
Ageing will happen; let’s be ready for it and create more empathetic and tightly-knit communities. God bless us all!
