New Year is the celebration of new beginnings. As we bid adieu to the previous year, a lot of memories and pain is left behind. A whole era of memories precious, moments captured, and lessons learnt – but not in a classroom, but in the background of life. Life is the biggest and the best teacher. When we learn about trigonometry, or geometry, it is just applicable in an exam, but, on the contrary, the lessons taught by life are applicable each and every moment in life. First heartbreaks teach us that to let go is to get something in return too.
Letting go is doing away with trash, or remnants of moments left behind in the air. The recent killing of an individual belonging to the North-Eastern part of India, is quite alarming and shocking but nothing new – like an old gift presented wrapped in a new, bright, shining wrapping paper. Discrimination against the seven states politically, and the general fiasco regarding the terms used for referring to the North-Eastern individuals, which are generally malicious in intent and harmful, proves that geographical attachment is always not everything. The hope for 2026 is hoping for an united country, literally.
