THE EYE
By Raja Mannar

A million eyes are out there
And more than a million reactions
Are in the making
As they view a beggar
Now many pity him
And some criticise him
But both actions establish
That those unfortunates needed no help
But there are instances
Where some good hearts
Admitted the unfortunates in a rehab
Now, people were witnesses to all
But strangely
There is only negativity all around
The third scenario was sidelined
It may be because
Society found it to be far-fetched
And also as an event that seldom happens
Now, by analysing these matters
We can form a thesis
Implying
That the people’s vision is blinded
And for some reason
They entertain a staunch belief
That each and every man is evil
And because of that belief
They work with an agenda of selfishness
But the sad fact is
All the positivity in the world
Is going unnoticed
All because Mankind has lost “The Eye”
That is the ability to see things
As they are
Now positivity is present in the world
But people as a society fail to notice it
As they live believing
The half cup that is in their hands
May get stolen by those around them
Thus, they live in fear and in a trance
And by living so
The man eventually lost that eye
That spots the goodness in the diaspora
ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Raja Mannar
Raja Mannar is an author and thinker who believes that humanity is far better than it is often perceived. Through his writing, he challenges readers to shed cynicism and embrace logical, positive thinking — arguing that a simple shift in perspective can transform society from within.
With a quiet conviction that goodness exists everywhere, Raja writes not to preach, but to plant seeds — seeds of awareness that lie dormant until the right moment awakens them. His work subtly nudges readers toward introspection, hoping that change, though slow, is inevitable when minds open.
He is the author of two acclaimed books — Scribbles and Comma — Let Contemplation Follow — each a reflection of his unwavering faith in human potential and the power of words to heal a fractured world.
