During the Covid-19 pandemic, education became limited to the internet. Studying from pdfs and attending classes on google meet became routine during 2020. Since then, the dependency on internet sources for studying has become way more prevalent. Websites like google books are storehouses of information stored digitally. In a shifting world, printed books are gradually becoming rarer. Kindle and e books are becoming common nowadays. The experience of attending Google meet classes was, well, quite surprising. Staying at home, attending classes during summer in a white and green uniform while keeping the camera on despite internet turbulences was fun, adventurous yet undauntingly challenging.
Personally, offline classes are way more fun than online classes. The still screen reduces students and staff to miniscule icons on a black screen, and a laid back, relaxed attitude takes over while studying from home. On the contrary, interactions are way more efficient in offline classes. The interaction in online classes is existent, but don’t feel like a live interaction truly, rather like a voice recording changing frequencies every now and then. Analysing texts and reading between the lines is way more effective than just solely depending on the internet wholly.
