ENTREPRENEUR SPOTLIGHT | BUSINESS & LIFESTYLE

In the heart of Kashmir, where landscapes inspire journeys and traditions coexist with changing aspirations, a distinctive entrepreneurial story has been unfolding on two wheels.
For many riders, a motorcycle is not merely a mode of transportation. It represents freedom, identity, memories, and a personal connection with the road. Royal Ride understands this emotional relationship and has built its entire philosophy around transforming motorcycles into reflections of their owners. Specializing in Royal Enfield customization, premium accessories, and authentic spare parts, the venture has created a space where every motorcycle receives individual attention and every modification carries a purpose.
Located at Shaheed Gunj, Srinagar, Royal Ride has emerged as more than a motorcycle workshop — it has become a destination where engineering, creativity, and personal expression come together. Every motorcycle entering the workshop is treated as a unique project rather than a routine service job. Whether restoring the character of an old Bullet, enhancing the personality of an Interceptor, or creating a completely customized build, the focus remains on delivering a machine that represents the rider behind it.
Two Minds, One Vision
The foundation of this vision comes from the combined efforts of two brothers — Mr. Mubashir Shafiq Wani and Mr. Muneeb Shafiq Wani — whose different professional backgrounds have created a unique balance between business strategy and technological innovation.
Mr. Mubashir Shafiq Wani, equipped with a BBA and MBA from the University of Wales, London, brought with him a strong foundation in business management, strategic planning, and market understanding. His role extends beyond daily operations — he has been instrumental in developing the brand identity, understanding customer expectations, and positioning Royal Ride as a premium customization destination rather than just another workshop.
Complementing this business vision is Mr. Muneeb Shafiq Wani, a postgraduate in Computer Sciences from the Islamic University of Science and Technology, Awantipora. His technological expertise forms the backbone of Royal Ride’s operational efficiency, introducing digital tools, automation, and data management to a traditionally mechanical industry. Where Mubashir focuses on building the road ahead, Muneeb creates the systems that keep the journey moving.
A Complete Motorcycle Experience
Royal Ride’s business model reflects the same philosophy that defines its motorcycles — carefully designed, purpose-driven, and built around individuality. The customization services cover a wide spectrum, from subtle improvements to complete transformations, including classic vintage-inspired builds, café racer designs, adventure-oriented modifications, and performance-focused upgrades. Every project begins not in the workshop, but in conversation — understanding the rider’s lifestyle, riding patterns, and personal vision before a single modification is made.
Alongside customization, Royal Ride has developed a strong spare parts business, offering genuine and premium aftermarket components — exhaust systems, suspension parts, handlebars, seats, lighting, and more. The brand has also expanded into lifestyle products, including jackets, T-shirts, helmets, and decals, allowing riders to carry the Royal Ride identity beyond their motorcycles.
The workshop itself is organized around specialization — dedicated sections for mechanical work, electrical systems, painting, fabrication, and final inspection — supported by advanced tools including diagnostic equipment and digital torque measurement systems. Yet the true strength of Royal Ride lies in its people: many of the team’s mechanics, fabricators, and painters are riders themselves, bringing both technical skill and emotional understanding to every build.
Building a Community, Not Just a Brand
Royal Ride’s marketing approach is built on authenticity rather than promotion. Through Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook, the brand shares real transformation stories, workshop moments, and riding experiences across the landscapes of Kashmir — creating a digital community that extends the brand’s reach well beyond its physical location. Group rides, motorcycle gatherings, and customization showcases have further strengthened a sense of belonging among enthusiasts, welcoming beginners, experienced riders, and women riders alike.
The journey has not been without challenges — from building credibility in a niche market with high customer expectations, to navigating supply chain complexities for genuine spare parts. The brothers’ complementary strengths helped overcome both: Mubashir through relationship-building and brand development, Muneeb through technology-driven systems that improved efficiency and reliability.
Looking ahead, Royal Ride has ambitious plans — expanding through franchise opportunities across North India, developing a dedicated mobile application for service scheduling and progress tracking, and exploring collaborations with tourism companies to offer customized Royal Enfield riding experiences.
Royal Ride is not simply about motorcycles. It is about dreams built with dedication, identities shaped through craftsmanship, and journeys created one ride at a time.
